At 240 g a pair, the Dazz Lite is one of the lightest platform pedals you can put on a BMX bike, and that is the whole reason to choose it. Pedals are rotating weight at the far end of the crank, so grams saved here are felt more than almost anywhere else on the bike, particularly out of the gate.
The injection-moulded thermoplastic body is what makes that weight possible, and it takes scrapes without the dents and burrs an alloy pedal picks up. Underneath, Tioga did not cut corners: the same 2DU dual bushing bearing system and 9/16" boron axle used on their alloy pedals, so it spins smoothly and resists bending on hard landings. A sensible, affordable pick for a lighter race bike or a first proper pedal upgrade.
