At 145 g this is the lightest full-size seat most racers will find, and Tioga got there without making it fragile. The shell is a carbonite composite with full cutout webbing to remove material, then reinforcement ridges underneath where the impacts actually land — so it survives cases and hard landings that would crack a thinner shell.

The shape is worth noting too: ergonomic contours rather than a flat plank, which makes a difference on the parts of a lap where you are actually sitting. Hardware is lightweight alloy throughout, including a hollow pivotal bolt and an alloy rocker panel.
