The BL-M9220 lever is where the ergonomics work went. Shimano moved the pivot point to follow the natural arc of your finger, so the lever feels lighter and more controllable at the fingertip, and the upswept blade with tool-free reach adjust lets you set it up exactly where your hand sits when you are in an aggressive position. New low-viscosity mineral oil and revised seals keep the bite point in the same place whether you are riding a cold morning or the end of a long, hot descent, and a redesigned pad interface stops the rattle that used to come with four-piston calipers.
