This is the lightest brake set in the entire Shimano lineup, and it exists for riders whose priority is grams saved rather than raw four-piston power. The BR-M9200 is Shimano's lightest post-mount two-piston caliper, built with a magnesium body and heat-resistant resin pistons that keep performing when the terrain gets demanding.

Weight has clearly been chased everywhere: the BL-M9200 lever uses a magnesium master cylinder body and a carbon lever body, and it is slim and race-tuned rather than bulky. What you get in return is sharp, precise braking with genuinely good modulation, which matters more on a fast XC or race course than sheer power does. Low-viscosity mineral oil keeps actuation smooth and the bite point consistent as conditions change, and a redesigned pad interface keeps the whole thing quiet. Supplied with an SM-BH90-SS 1700 mm hose in black.
