Deore XT has been the standard mountain bikers measure everything against for nearly three decades, and the BR-M8120 is the four-piston option in the M8100 generation, aimed at trail and enduro riding where a two-piston brake starts running out of authority.
Power is the headline, but heat is what actually decides whether a brake holds up. Ice-Tech pads with cooling fins pull heat out of the pad, and combined with Servo Wave you get faster response, higher performance and shorter dead travel at the lever. A banjo cable connection lets you angle the hose to suit the frame, One-Way bleeding keeps servicing quick, and the caliper works front or rear on a post mount. Fitted with N04C metal pads with fins.
