KMC's super light 11-speed chain, and the weight comes off in the places that do not cost you strength: hollow pins, hollow inner plates and hollow outer plates, all chamfered. The result is a lighter chain that KMC rates as more durable than the model it replaced, not less.
The mud shedding plate shape is up 27 percent in rigidity over the previous generation, which matters on a wet track where a packed chain is what turns a good gate into a bad one. It closes with a MissingLink master link, so you can fit and remove it without a chain tool. The gold version is titanium nitride coated for lower friction and less maintenance; the silver is full nickel plated.
