A completely redesigned race wheelset built for BMX, whether you are gating every weekend or putting in training laps. At 1446 g the pair, the XLS-1 sits at a sensible weight for a durable alloy wheel.

The part that matters most out of the gate is engagement. The sealed XLS hubs run a three-pawl system on a 24-tooth ratchet, so when you stamp on the pedals the hub picks up quickly rather than letting your effort disappear into slack. Rims are 6061-T6 double wall in two specific profiles, which is what keeps them true through hard landings.

What makes these genuinely versatile is the rear hub. It arrives ready for V-brake use, but the CenterLock system means you can convert to disc braking later without buying a new wheel, which is worth knowing if you are running a rim-brake frame now but expect to move to discs. Note the wheels are supplied without a cog, and the CenterLock to ISO converter is a separate purchase.
