The 406 version of Excess's XLS-1 race wheelset, built for wider 20 x 1.50" to 1.75" tires rather than the narrow 451 race setup. If you want more tire volume and grip, this is the wheel to build around.
Sealed XLS hubs run a three-pawl engagement system on a 24-tooth ratchet, so the hub picks up quickly when you drive out of the gate or relaunch after a corner. The 6061-T6 double wall rims are built to survive hard landings, and at 1793 g the pair it is a robust, sensible race and training wheel. Available in blue and red.
The rear hub ships ready for V-brake braking with a CenterLock system that lets you convert to disc later. Supplied without a cog, and the CenterLock to ISO converter is a separate purchase.
