The ACT line earned its reputation the hard way: UCI World Cup Championships, the USA BMX number one Pro title, and more Elite Men's Pro wins over two seasons than any other frame. Rather than coast on that, Chase spent a year making the 1.2 better still, with Connor Fields and Joris Daudet racing prototypes for more than ten months before it was signed off. The changes are small but they matter on race day: more chain clearance for bigger gear ratios, better clearance for a wider range of disc brake calipers when running the optional Elevn adapter, and a revised finish.
What you feel riding it is a frame that takes full Pro power without ever becoming punishing. Chase builds it from UD uni-directional carbon, which carries one of the highest tensile strengths available and is lighter as well as stronger than most carbon weaves. It costs more to work with, and Chase chose it anyway because performance came first.
