The carbon fiber top bearing cover and CNC-machined compression cap shave weight where it counts, while the aluminum expander plug eliminates the star nut and works with all 1-1/8 inch steerer tubes — even carbon fiber ones. A split crown race makes installation and removal super easy for any race parent doing the wrenching, and the included adapter crown race lets a tapered frame run a straight 1-1/8 inch fork.
