Derived from Wellgo's MG-52 pedal, the LU-A52 uses a concave machined alloy body with micro knurling across the surface. That knurling is the detail worth knowing about: it works alongside the eight screwed pins per side to grip the sole of your shoe, so your foot stays put even when the pedal is wet or muddy.
This is the sealed-bearing version, which is the one to choose if you ride year-round or in bad weather. Sealed DU metal-polymer bearings keep grit and water out, delivering low friction with high wear resistance and far less maintenance than an open bearing. The solid chromoly axle is built to take repeated jump landings without bending, and at 109 x 106 mm the platform gives plenty of support underfoot.
