SLX is where Shimano's four-piston braking gets genuinely affordable. Mechanically it is very close to XT: same four-piston layout, same banjo hose fitting, same pad compatibility. The differences are in materials and finish, not in how hard it stops.

The M7120 caliper gives you four-piston power for enduro and downhill riding, and the two-finger aluminum M7100 lever keeps the feel firm and predictable. The banjo connection lets you angle the hose to suit your frame, which makes for a much tidier build. It arrives with N03A resin pads and takes D03S resin or N04C and D02S metal pads if you want more bite. 444 g complete, with a 1.70 m hose, supplied without a disc.
