The matching 451 rear wheel, built on a Sun Ringlé ICI-1 double wall alloy rim with a flip flop hub.
Flip flop is the useful part: the hub is threaded on both sides, so the wheel can be turned around and the freewheel run on either side. For a growing rider that means you can change the drive side or the gearing setup without rebuilding a wheel. The sealed bearing hub keeps things rolling cleanly, and at 835 g it is light enough not to blunt a young rider's acceleration.
This wheel is for V-brake use only, and it is supplied without a freewheel.
