The CL version of Excess's EXE-3 carbon wheelset. Where the ISO model has a direct disc rotor mount, this one uses a CenterLock rear hub and arrives ready for V-brake braking, so it suits a rim-brake bike now and converts to disc when you are ready.

Rims are three-layer Toray T700 carbon, tubeless ready, 32 mm wide. Carbon buys you a lighter, laterally stiffer wheel that tracks properly through a rutted turn instead of flexing. The hubs use the quick three-pawl five-tooth system on a 120-tooth ratchet, so the drive picks up the instant you load the pedals. The front hub converts from 10 mm to a 20 mm axle with an add-on kit if your fork needs it.
